Morning Coffee

My lovely morning in Tiffin was in the company of my best friend Erin and her two little girls.  While in the kitchen my friends father walked through to grab some coffee on his way out to finish yard work.  Erin expressed to him that she didn't have any creamer knowing he uses creamer or milk in his coffee.  Bob commented that black coffee is fine with this exact statement to follow;

'When you go black you never go back!  I like my coffee like my lady's hot, strong, and black!'

Most hilarious comment from a 50 year old man from Tiffin Ohio before 10:00 am.  I was lmao for a solid 10 minutes!

You are the father! And so are you!!!

So to my understanding a person prego with twins can have babies by two different fathers...confirmed by Maury, a gay man, and an irish girl???

Good Idea? Bad Idea?

Taj

Today was a traditional holiday get together of 632 Dot Ave. #3 past habitants.  The brunch consisted of celebrating Tina's bling (engagement), thoughtful gifts (very appropriate/inappropriate at the same time to the receivers, thank you Chrissy), and a $98.00 booze tab at noon on a Sunday, sounds about right.

Gifts are always nice to give and receive but when your busy ladies time can be much more appreciated.  Time to reminisce, laugh, and savor the moment.  These three beauties have been through tragedy, love, deception, health scares, adventures, personal discovery,  relocation, credit card debt/recovery, and last but not least support and patience with each other over the years.

In the end we are all very blessed ladies always here for each other in good/bad times ready for the memories and adventures to continue :)

"What will people remember us for? Are other people's lives better because we lived? Did we make a difference? Did we use to the fullest the gifts and abilities God gave us? Did we give our best effort, and did we do it for the right reasons? God's definition of success is really one of significance--the significant difference our lives can make in the lives of others." - Tony Dungy

One of the simple things in life that always keep you warm...a scarf :)

1982

Besides the introduction of KB to the world in 1982, Soft Cell came out with 'Say Hello Wave Goodbye'. Check out David Grey's version which in my opinion is better but I appreciate the original for what it is.

Crash and Burn

It's always nice to start out a chilly morning with slipping when stepping into the shower, tearing off the shower curtain, and hitting the back of your head on the sink. Lovely start to the day...

The positive is hopefully the worst part of my day is over :)

Chromeo - "Night By Night" Video

Fantastic video/lyrics...makes you want to move your body

The initial toothbrush sticking out of the back pocket, amazing lighting from a semi-truck (reminding me of one of the best 80's movies ever 'Over The Top'), dance moves that bring you back to freshman year in undergrad around 1:00 am when we think we are all professional movers and shakers!

Holiday spirit

Today I was impressed with a retail employee (young black man with braids and seashells on the ends) singing along to 'Last Christmas' by Wham while creatively building his floor display of coffee makers and hand mixers. Stepping away at times to look at the angles and placement of all the items with a slight skip and hop in his step. This was his masterpiece! The holiday spirit is contagious...always puts a smile on my face.

Efficiency

4 minute bike ride in the city in 30 degree weather, in a skirt, riding on the back posts, in high heels.

Or

20 minute bus/train ride, 2 transfers, and a 5 minute walk...

Of course I chose the bike ride! Seaport to the Northend in no time...thanks Nebons

Wham! - Last Christmas

In the top 3 best Christmas songs!

Dorito Overboard!

So I was walking down Charles Street this morning on my way back from the bank when I witnessed a gentleman seriously almost falling over to save a Dorito he missed putting in his mouth. First of all the guy was jamming on Dorito's at 10:00 am which in it's self is impressive.

Typical Beacon Hill businessman slightly disheveled rushing to something work related. I witness him miss his mouth with the Dorito, it starts falling in front of him, he tries to knee the Dorito like it's a soccer ball than proceeds to kick it with his foot right before it hit the ground. Was he expecting to punt the Dorito back into his mouth or up high enough to catch and recover? Either way it's a Dorito he was trying to save, not a cell phone, camera, or valuable item. A singular DORITO! Enough said...

I was impressed with his effort and determination. I give him an A for effort and an A- on technique (a little off balance)

Love Drugs and not sure what those other things are...

So with a title 'Love Drugs and Other Things' it sounds like there may be something interesting going on...unfortunately not! The movie brings back memories of songs from the 90's, proves Anne Hathaway has great breasts, while exposing that Jake Gyllehaal needs to do some more squats to perk up his ass.

Make sure not to rent this movie with your family or mother because there is way too much sex and emphasis on orgasms. A plus is I guess it puts your mind in the gutter which can be a positive or a negative depending on your mood.

All in good company...

Two is company, Three is a Threesome, and Fours a crowd.....Possibly Five is complicated

Free Energy (Bodega Girls remix)

Some of the most amazing dance moves, costumes, and movie scenes in the 80's and 90's. This video remix brings back a new appreciation for high waisted leotards, garter belts, and Kurt Russell.

1 Year

It's crazy how much can change in one year. Think about what you were doing this time last year.

Outside looking in...

Wholefoods cashier: Are you having a bad day today?

Me: No, I'm actually having a great day (slight grin on my face)

Wholefoods cashier: Oh...(looking down scanning my items)

Me: No worries, I get it all the time (with a slight laugh)

My life in a nutshell. Everyone on the outside looking in are a little clueless of my thoughts...but maybe that's my own fault.

September, the month of strange incidents

September 23rd...

Just another day in the neighborhood involves an urban cowboy as I like to call him (hat, boots, and belt buckle). In front of a Starbucks in downtown he started to comment on how he liked my boots and they matched his hat proceeding to skip down the street singing "Wild Wild West!" on repeat!

This was the start to my day and my strange life everyday...at least it made me laugh!

Time is of the essence

Some people say everything in life is about timing. Do we one day decide the timing is right today?

When to say when...

Can work take over your life? Don't get me wrong because I love working and it's good for the soul. At this point I think some people use work as a distraction from other parts of their lives. which can be a good and a bad thing. But how does a person recognize what direction they are going...

lack of experience

Yes, it seems shocking but bartenders and other staff in the hospitality industry have educations and day jobs. I love it when a customer gives me a look of surprise when I tell them I have a masters degree and a full-time day job. Is this generation going to shit so fast that working more than 60 hours a week is out of the norm?

I didn't know it was a crime to make your own money, be financially independent, and have the luxury to do the things you want to do. My favorite is when a man in business attire asks me 'Why does a pretty girl like you work in a bar?'

Please...my response (in my head) because I like taking your money! :)

Obsessed or Bored

Don't get my wrong as I express my views of the Boston population because I am a supporter and fan of sports. Why is this town so obsessed with sports? Do people have no other interests or exciting things to look forward to in their everyday lives? It's one thing to cheer on your favorite sports team on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon but when your a middle aged man dressing yourself up in a costume like it's Halloween I think there is a bigger issue.

Luck be a lady

With my luck I try and take a friend to an amazing restaurant in the Northend known for the raw bar and oysters and a sign is posted on the window stating 'closed for electrical issues, sorry for the inconvenience'

This incident is typical in my everyday life...

Another one bites the dust

Can someone really want to be with another person every single day and not get annoyed? I'm not saying spending time with someone is bad but we all need our alone time once in awhile. A person shouldn't have to make excuses for that.

Understaffed

Isn't it ironic that whenever you work in the service industry typically the management over staffs. Well, last night was an exception and 3 of the finest food servers at BBW carried the team home with a little help of adrenaline.

Three servers and 52 tables? Sounds like a shit show but some how the night didn't collapse.

Thanks to sangria and pop music the night must go on....
